Purpose:

The fest is to provide the Chattanooga public a free glimpse into the music scene and to showcase our local talent. There is a lot going on in our little city, but very rarely, will someone pay a cover to see a band they have never heard before. This event gives everyone a chance to “try on” our local musicians and see which one fits. Come find your favorite band. The generous sponsorship of Sweetwater Brewery allows us to pay our musicians while still making it free to the public, which even more well known events do not accomplish. We are also only using local vendors to offer food and snacks during the event, so that any money spent will stay in our community. The state of our economy has seen many businesses suffer, as well as our own pockets. By putting on this free show, we are encouraging everyone to come out at a price you can afford, and to help out those who are less fortunate by contributing dried or canned goods to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. We will also have a booth set up for NPR if anyone would like to pledge a donation to help out our public music station.
